Don’t expect results over night - what??

If you were to look back one hundred years ago, most people never expected results
overnight. We now live in a fast paced world where everyone is in a hurry to do
anything and everything. We want instant results! And then, when we don’t get
those instant results, we think we have failed to achieve our goals.

If you really want to be successful at something, it takes time, dedication and a lot
of practicing. Take for instance an Olympic gymnast. They devote their entire lives
to the sport, train many hours daily, just so that they can possibly compete as one
of the best in the world. They develop their success through habits.

Why not apply what many great people in this
world do to your own home business?

If you want to stand out in your business, you might just need to give yourself a bit
more time in order to be successful. Evaluate how far you have come six months
down the road and then again in a year.

Someone who is good in what they do has not just achieved this success over night.
It more than likely has taken them years of dedication. Luck might play a factor into
some of it, but I am sure they have put in their fair share of time becoming
successful.

Do you think some of the most successful
companies in the world today were built over night?

These guys put in a good amount of hours and hard work day in and day out to
get where they are today.

For whatever you want to achieve in your home
business, here’s a strategy:

  • Practice or put in work every day
  • But don’t expect to see progress every day!
  • Make sure you have a daily plan and stick with it.
  • Successful people have successful habits.
  • Develop a success pattern of these habits over time.
  • Develop a habit of accepting rejection and you will become more mentally tough as a result.

Follow the lead of a successful mentor who has already achieved the success you would like to have.

Stay positive and find people who can encourage you to keep up these patterns.
Most successful people start washing cars or selling newspapers at about ten years
of age and keep moving up from there. They develop a “success pattern”. Then they
sharpen their skills and aim higher as they progress. You first learn to catch little
fish, then big fish. You practice doing a flip before you do a double twist.

What’s so important about a success pattern?

It’s what gets you to BELIEVE IN YOURSELF.

When you know in your heart:

1. “I’ve prepared myself for this”

2. “I can do it!”

3. “I deserve it,” then you are on your way.

When you DO NOT believe in
yourself, you are dead in the water. Allow yourself time to improve. You might see
little progress each month THEN after an entire year has passed assess your
improvement.

Most people quit too soon!

In Conclusion:

To be successful, this is what you need - in order of importance:

  • Patience and Persistence
  • Talent
  • Allow yourself time to improve
  • If there’s no success pattern, look out! make success a habit.
  • Attach yourself to a proven mentor with high integrity.

Make sure your mentor has been successful more than once, so you know that it
was not just luck the first time. Make sure they have proven system and methods
that work, so that you can apply this same principle to your business.

Getting Traffic or more precisely Targeted Traffic to your website is the most important strategy for the Survival and Success of your Internet Home Based Business. It is a well known fact that the vast majority of the new Home Business Entrepreneurs have only a small marketing budget. Not that they are all short of funds but it takes time for them to be convinced about spending money. It is their desire and determination to cash in on the vast potential the Internet offers that has thrust them into this field of activity.

Follow these free, reliable methods and get the Traffic you desperately need to get noticed in the Internet. Some methods are time consuming and laborious but when money is the critical factor, time and labor should not be of major concern.

1. Reciprocal Linking.
Reciprocal linking is one of the most popular ways to get traffic to your Home Based Business site and also boost your rankings in the search engines. The strategy you should follow is: (a) Go to search engines such as Google, Yahoo or MSN and identify the websites that are similar or relevant to yours with high page ranks. (b)Eliminate those that are in direct competition to you. (c) Persuade and convince the webmasters to exchange links with you. (d) Identify quality websites i.e. websites with PR3 and over that have high traffic and exchange links with them.

2. Writing Articles.
One of the best ways to get high targeted traffic and one way links to your Home Business is to write articles and submit them to (a) Article Directories, (b) Ezine Publishers, and (c) High traffic websites that accept article submissions. Quality articles are in great demand and if you can write quality, thought provoking and educative articles in your field of expertise, your articles will definitely be accepted for publication. You should ensure that (a) you have a Resource Box at the bottom of the article. (b) And have your URL in the Resource Box. If your article is impressive you can expect a massive influx of visitors to your website via the resource box.

3. Submitting to Directories.
Once your website is ready with good content and quality links, you should start submitting your website to Search Engine Google and the Directories. Submitting to Directories is another way of getting additional targeted traffic to your website. This also increases your site’s overall importance to obtain a high page rank. If you want to be visible in the internet world, getting listed in Directories especially in Directories with high page rank and traffic is the fastest way to do it. Some charge a fee for listing while others are free. Among the free directories some insist on a link back from your site. Link back to them happily and get listed.

4. Posting at Forums.
Another great way of getting free traffic is to post at discussion forums on a regular basis. If your contributions at these forums display good knowledge and authority, an immediate increase in your website traffic will be seen. To get the maximum benefit, (a) visit high traffic forums, (b) display your knowledge and (c) include your signature file and URL there. It is this URL that will siphon traffic to your site.

5. Emails.
The emails that you send out, whether it is personal or business can be a source of traffic. You have to ensure that your advertisement or signature is there at the bottom of the page with your URL. Though it might not be much traffic, nevertheless it is free traffic. Make the best use of it.

6 Tell a friend/Refer a friend.
Another source of traffic which is often overlooked is through your own website. Place a “Tell a Friend” or “Refer a Friend” image or script on your website. This can be obtained free from several sources, by searching in the search engines. Visitors, who sincerely appreciate your site and are grateful for the information and the resources provided, will pass on the good news to their friends.

7. eBay Traffic.
Traffic from eBay is not the normal channel but it is working for many. Any traffic that is free is what you need most. So (a) register yourself with eBay,
(b) go to the “about me” page and fill in useful information with a link to your website. If done correctly, you are certain to get a significant amount of traffic since millions visit eBay every month.

8. Fresh Content.
It is surprising that many webmasters spend much time in finding various avenues to attract visitors to their sites but overlook the importance of adding fresh content to their sites. Content is King and Search Engines love fresh content. Your visitors love them too. It does not cost you anything so add fresh content regularly and they will keep on returning again and again.

Millions of websites are lost deep down in the Internet Wilderness unheard of and unsung. Certainly you don’t want to be one of those! Get started. Start making money from home by implementing your Internet Marketing program.

Whether it’s for business use or personal use, the benefits of
high speed internet access are many. Making the decision to go
broad band can be tough though, especially when monthly package
prices are considered. Once the initial sticker shock wears off,
the benefits of high speed should be examined along with the
actual costs.

The reliability of the connection is what appeals to businesses
the most, but there are other business advantages to high speed.
They include:

* Ability to be online all the time. By not requiring a
telephone connection to go online, computers that are hooked up
on high speed can stay online the entire time they’re on. This
gives employees instant access to incoming e-mail and enables a
lot of other functions quickly.

* Doesn’t require dedicated phone lines or use of the main phone
line. This is a big one for business and comes into play when
looking at actual costs. There’s no need to buy a second or
third phone line when high speed access is used. For those who
use their main telephone line for their Internet access as well,
this expense can be justified simply by thinking of all the
business calls that might be missed while the phone is in use.

* The speed factor. It’s a simple fact valuable time is wasted
when dial up services are used. High speed connections can
enable employees to download files, programs and more in a
fraction of the time it takes with dial up. This means they’ll
be working on something else quicker and more efficiently.

* Online meeting usage. While online meetings are possible on
dial up, the connection might not always be great. If
telecommuting to meetings at different company locations or with
clients is a desired Internet use, high speed is the only way to
go. Dropped connections can cost you business, which absolutely
doesn’t compute for the bottom line.

And while businesses are going more and more with high speed
access, private users are doing so for a number of reasons as
well. The package may cost more in one lump sum, but if the
factors are broken out, high speed is generally cheaper or at
the least the same price. Think of it this way, high speed
enables a private computer user to get rid of a second phone
line and an access account. The access and the account are
included in the price.

For home users, high speed offers the following benefits:

* Ability to download photographs and files faster. This is
great for those who use the Internet to keep in contact with
friends and family.

* More reliable connection for online chats. This also comes in
handy for using the Internet to stay in touch with friends and
family. The fear of dropped connections almost disappears with
high speed.

* Doesn’t tie up the main phone line.

* Online gaming. There simply isn’t a connection better for
those who like to game. Everything moves faster with high speed
access.

Broad band Internet access isn’t a “fad,” it’s the way business
gets done and it can help private computer owners better enjoy
their online experiences as well. By speeding up the process and
freeing up phone lines, broad band has proven itself more than
useful.

ASCENSION BY THERESA CHAZE

Ascension is a two-fold process. In order for a species to fully
join the spiritual realms, ascension must happen both on an
individual level and for the whole society in which it lives.
The spiritual and evolutionary processes are permanently
connected. You can not climb the spiritual ladder until the
physical body has been prepared to accept the increased
bioelectrical impulses. The physical mutations happen over
generations as souls chose parents whose genetics will allow
them to progress. As more souls become aware of the process,
they become more discriminating of where they shall incarnate.
Therefore, creating an impropriate grouping of higher developed
souls in certain regions, while others have a disproportioned of
the underdeveloped souls. This imbalance is causing many of the
current social, economic, and cultural problems, which have
created fear, hatred and violence. The ascension process is best
related to the Eastern theories of Chakras. There are seven main
chakras. The first is located at the base of the spine. It is
the center of the survival instinct–the inborn need to fight or
flight. It is characterized by the fear of the unknown. Its
energy is seen primarily as red. The second chakra is the need
to create, whether it is to perpetuate the species or in higher
developed souls to investigate new ideas, create works of art,
and to challenge the known knowledge. Its location is two inches
below the belly button. Its energy pattern is seen as orange.
The third chakra is the power center of the individual. It is
where the individuals self worth and self-determination
blossoms. Yellow is it energy color. The fourth chakra is the
heart. It is the connecting point between the lower and higher
trines. Whereas the three lower are primarily concerned with
survival, the upper three work on a more ethereal level. The
heart is the cross over point. When the soul reaches this level
of development, the physical aspects of life where they are
person or society generated become less important than the needs
of the species as a whole. Fear of the unknown falls away as the
curiosity and need for wisdom becomes the new focal point. This
chakra’s energy is seen as green. The fifth chakra is also known
as the throat chakra. It is the beginning of personal truths and
the courage to speak them. Its energy signature is blue. Purple
is the color of the sixth chakra, which is also known as the
third eye. It is located on the brow between the eyes. It is the
ability to look beyond personal needs and desires for a way to
spiritually uplift the whole. The crown chakra is located at the
top of the head. Its energy is white. It is at this point the
person connects directly with her/his soul and has access to the
infinite wisdom of the universes. This is a brief description of
the individual ascension process. It is separate from the whole,
yet it is paramount to the evolution of the species. The
ascension of a species follows the same procedures, however the
probability curve for failure is higher with the likely hood of
increased set backs due to the inability of the majority of the
group to rise beyond their fear of the unknown. Whereas the law
of free will gives the individual the right not to accept
change, it is also the main cause for the slow progress of the
ascension for the whole. In order to proceed, the bioelectrical
changes need to be disbursed evenly among the people to insure
the genetic ability to rise above the fear level. However, the
transmutation process must be handled with great care. If it
proceeds to quickly or under duress, the fear factor will rise
and the opposite effect will occur. Only by stabilizing the
current culture factors and allowing the natives to grow
naturally out of the fear will the general population be able to
advance. There is not one set formula to insure the success of
this project. Each situation and individual must be carefully
considered for the specific needs. Only by slow deliberation,
with patient consideration, will the ascension advancement
occur. The maturation process of the individual is the key to
the general ascension of the whole. Only by supporting the one
will the whole find stabilization and the ability to grow beyond
the fear factor. While the general ascension process has been
frequently stalled and pushed into regression, the individual,
who have succeeded in their spiritual growth, have maintained
their achievements, thereby making the forward progress more
accessible. These individuals are examples of what may be
achieved and by their mere existence fight the fear factor. They
are the guides and signposts their companions need to follow on
the ascension path out of the valley of fear into the security
of love and wisdom. Only by increasing this number if
enlightened souls may the ascension of the whole be insured. On
the physical level, the process can move forward more rapidly
and with little or no regression. Once genetic adaptations have
been introduced, they are relatively permanent. Limited by size
and physical build, the Stone Age individual had limited motion
and comprehension of her/his environment. This could be
considered the first chakra physical stage of development. The
primary concern was food, shelter, and security. Once the
individuals began to develop communities, which grew its own
food, established order and claimed turf, the second chakra
development was achieved. The third level is the blossoming of
the individual. It is at this stage of development that the
personal needs, desires, and creativity begins to blossom.
Individuals set goals for themselves and strove to meet them.
Between the third and fourth chakra, developmental growth
suddenly shifts from the physical to the emotional and
intellectual. The cognitive abilities of the brain develop as
the body is called on to use less instinctive and more abstract
thought. Reaching the fourth chakra, the body has made the
bioelectrical connections, which makes the brain capable of
fourth dimensional thinking. The ability of the brain to
transmit and tolerate higher energy levels makes abstract
thought and concepts possible. The fifth chakra opens up the
souls need to share and redefine the new thinking processes,
therefore creating dialogues with others which stimulates the
neurons to higher, more defined synaptic activity. The last two
evolutionary developments increase communication between the
hemispheres of the brain, allowing the creative, instinctive,
and intellectual aspects to combine, which increases the brains
capacity to more rapidly understand theoretical concepts. Souls
have a tendency to choose regions, cultures, and parents who
will allow the maximum amount of spiritual and personal lessons.
The freer and more open the society, the more likely it will
attract the advancing souls. In exchange, the society will
benefit from the advancing souls increased energy levels and its
access to the universal wisdom, which brings about new medical,
technological, and scientific discoveries. This self-sustaining
process enable both the soul and the society, in which it’s a
member, to quickly grow towards ascension. The society, which
embraces new ideas and wisdom, becomes free of fear. It explores
the unknown, finds its secrets, and understands its mysteries
therefore it becomes part of the known; the fear factor is
removed. However, in a closed society, the unknown remains
hidden; the fear factor remains intact. New ideas are afraid to
be shared, thereby cutting off the any potential gains either on
the physical or spiritual level. Tradition and history become
the ruling force. Change is considered dangerous. Anyone who
proposes change is feared and hated. In this type of closed
society, ideas quickly become inbred and fixed. Without the
challenges to keep it active, the bioelectrical systems of the
individuals lose their ability to carry the higher levels of
energy. Parts of the bioelectrical systems start to slow or even
shut down. Just as muscles need movement to remain healthy, so
the brain needs intellectual stimulus to remain active. The
slowing of the bioelectrical system effects the entire
individual–emotionally, physically, intellectually and
spiritually. This is also a self-perpetuating system. As the
souls interact, they reinforce the traditional behaviors as
good; anyone who thinks or acts outside the norm is punished as
evil or banished. The imbalance between the two societies
creates distrust, fear, and hatred. When the open society tries
to enlighten the closed, it is seen as an attacking force. The
fear factor in the closed society increases. Its posture becomes
defensive. It rallies the natives to defend its way of life. The
more aggressive the open society becomes, the more their actions
have the opposite affect. The open society is seen as
paternalistic and condescending. Whereas their motives may have
started out pure, the potential for back sliding in the open
society is possible as the closed society it judges as backward
and ungrateful pulls it back to an earlier thought processes.
Communication breaks down on the physical level, leading to
bigotry, violence and open hostilities. However, with patience
and respect, the spiritual communication can be maintained. In
some cases, it is the only route still open for communication.
Only by opening the door, turning on a guiding light, and
allowing each soul to start the ascension process on its own can
the stalemate end. Enlightened souls can be guides through the
process, but only after they have been invited. Ascended souls
have and continue to voluntarily incarnate in the closed
societies, using their love, courage and wisdom to open it from
the inside out. The is no one solution, no one path to
ascension. Each soul must find the courage and the wisdom to
fight the fear of the unknown. As each individual finds its own
path and reaches the higher stage of development, the society
she/he lives in is blesses with the same growth potential

The clutch pedal broke on my car the other day. If something like this had happened to me in the past, I would have responded in a rather negative way - you can probably imagine what I might have said to myself! However, with my knowledge of reframing I was able to manage my emotions and feel grateful about the fact that the inconvenience was minimal compared to what could have happened - we were able to stop in a safe place off the road, were recovered in 30 minutes and taken home, and then the car was delivered to my garage the next morning and fixed the same day.

In both personal and business development I have found the use of reframing, an NLP technique, to be a useful tool to shake the foundations of a negative belief or assumption, and help someone to a different perception of a situation. When it really works, reframing can have surprising results.

So how do you do it?

Reframing takes what someone says and changes the context or the content of the information. A context reframe is where you keep the behaviour constant, and change the context by asking where this behaviour might be effective or where it would be an appropriate response.

For instance, someone I was coaching said they felt they were hopeless at finishing things off - they would have great motivation at the start of a project and get things moving, but would lose impetus once the initial excitement wore off. To reframe this from a negative perception to a more positive one, I suggested that this is a strength of someone who is an entrepreneur or leader, and that other people can find it very difficult to start anything!

A content reframe holds the context constant and changes the meaning of the behaviour. You ask yourself what else the behaviour could mean or what it is that the person has not noticed that will bring about a different meaning and change the response. What is particularly useful here, is to find positive intentions in everything.

A classic example of a content reframe by Virginia Satir, the respected family therapist, concerns a father who complains at the stubbornness of his daughter. He has labelled her behaviour as negative. Virginia reframes this by pointing out that in some circumstances her stubbornness will be a distinct advantage in life - in order to protect herself or achieve something for instance.

Words are spells, and if we can say the right thing at the right time, we can help someone to have a richer appreciation of the world. Think how you might reframe the apparently negative things that happen to you to give yourself a more positive experience of life.

What led them to this choice, as all four studios stated separately, is better performance for the price and copyright protection.

The other standard in competition, the Blu-ray disc, unconditionally backed by Sony Pictures Entertainment, is also counting on support from Metro Goldwyn Mayer and Twentieth Century Fox (the latter has recently joined the Blu-Ray Disc Association Board).

The Blu-ray disc has more world leading electronics companies that support it: Sony, LG Electronics, Matsushita (Panasonic), Mitsubishi, Samsung, Sharp, TDK, Philips, Pioneer, Hitachi. Also, computer giants Dell and Hewlett Packard.

The HD DVD standard is being developed by Toshiba, Sanyo and NEC, under the endorsement of the DVD Forum.

Both HD DVD and Blu-ray standards use the same wavelength blue-lasers that permit data storage on the disc at a higher density. This enhances the disc capacity and allows the recording of high definition video on DVD support.

Wining the support of the big Hollywood movie studios is most important in the DVD format battle. Up to this moment, the four studios that gave their endorsement to HD DVD technology represent 45% of the DVD pre-recorded movie market.

The launch of DVD players in the HD DVD format is being expected for the last quarter of 2005.

The full URL to a page comes in three parts: The domain name, the path to the file then the filename, and the QueryString. For example, take the URL http://www.example.com/example/page.asp?name=Bob. The three parts of this are:

The domain name: www.example.com
The path to the page: /example/page.asp
The QueryString: name=Bob

So how do you find it all out with your own scripts? Well the following code should do it:
<%@language="VBScript"%>
<%
Dim strDomain, strPath, strQueryString, strURL
‘ find out the domain:
strDomain = Request.ServerVariables("HTTP_HOST")
‘ find out the path to the current file:
strPath = Request.ServerVariables("URL")
‘ find out the QueryString:
strQueryString = Request.ServerVariables("QUERY_STRING")
‘ put it all together:
strURL = "http://" & strDomain & strPath & "?" & strQueryString
Response.Write "The current URL is: " & strURL
%>

If you are into geography and are looking for an interesting world map to help you in your studies then a unique wooden globe may be what you are looking for. In ancient times all globes were wooden pieces cut and assembled by hand and painted with a delicate touch. Many people find these old globes so interesting that they have become collectors of them and will go to great lengths to procure the next piece in their collection. Wooden globes detailed not only the world but the night sky, pointing out the numerous constellations and stars that were visible to the naked eye. Travelers and sailors relied heavily on the knowledge preserved by these globes to help guide them on their way.

Now it has become kitsch to have an antique style wooden globe in the home. A good wooden world globe should be a wood such as maple and is usually very intricate. Some globes can be assembled with up to 1000 square cut wooden sections. Of this number 665 hand cut and shaped pieces representing the countries and geographical features, while 335 pieces are cut and shaped to represent the oceans. Elaborate 24k gold ribbon can be used to represent the latitude and longitude lines. The makers of a good wooden globe will pride themselves on hand painting all the lettering and countries with the most current details before adding the finishing touch of up to 10 layers of lacquer that will go a great ways toward protecting the globe, long enough for it to become an antique itself.

Most antique style wooden globes won’t be attached to a stand the way modern ones are. They are something tangible that can be picked up from a similar wooden stand and hefted in the hands. Wooden Globes will certainly add a unique touch to the home or office.

Why should I or anyone for that matter get involved in crafting? Well…first things first, have you noticed how prices just keep getting higher and higher? Who can afford to give a decent gift to anyone nowadays? But…if you make the gift yourself it can be done for a fraction of the cost, not to mention the fact that everyone admires and wishes they could do the crafting themselves.

Well you can! All you have to do is try. Crafting is one area that creativity itself is often inspired by necessity. And amazingly enough new crafters usually find that they fall in love with crafting. Many people start out crafting because they have no choice, they needed something to give to someone or they could not afford to buy ready made things for their own home. In the process of learning how to save money they discover this amazing person inside of themselves, this creative and talented person that they never would have believed they could be.

You too can become more creative. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and each and every one of us has our own concepts of what is beautiful. Each of us has hidden talents just waiting to be accessed. Once you get started you will be amazed at how quickly your mind will become flooded with ideas for things you can make. Anything you see was crafted by someone. Why not you?

Where do I start?

Well, what do you need? Once you know why you need a gift then you can look for something to fit the person you want to make the gift for.

I needed a gift for my friend who had just bought her first home and I wanted it to be something special as a housewarming gift. She has always used tons of candles in her home so I found a log that had an interesting shape and cut it so that it was about six inches high by ten or twelve inches around. I cleaned the wood and sanded it top and bottom then carved out an area in the middle to pour the wax, that I had colored in green to match her new living room. The wax was a green apple scent and I poured it into the area I had carved out of the center of the log. A little polish on the top and I had a gift that I was proud of and she really enjoyed it also.

Crafting is anything you make yourself! And there are all kinds of crafts that you can choose to do. There’s needle work such as embroidery both hand embroidery and machine embroidery, crochet, cross stitching, smocking and knitting just to name a few.

There’s jewelry making such as beading, wire twisting and silver smiting (silver smiting is not as hard as some people think).

There’s wreath making for all kinds of holidays.

Candle making can be even more creative than you think.

Painting both with oils and water colors.

Then there’s the junk art that has become so popular and is made from things you find in and around your own home.

There are many more forms of crafting that have not been mentioned here and I’m sure even more are being created as we speak, so have a great day and happy crafting!
