Superultramodern Scientism (SSism) is Scientism of Superultramodern Science (SS). Without SSism, SS would be seen as a philosophy instead of science. SSism agrees with the definition of Science as a systematic body of knowledge. More systematic a body of knowledge is the more scientific it is.

SSism is essentially based on its critique of logical positivism as well as falsificationism and the principle of universal doubt. :

1. Critique of logical positivism -

Logical positivism is a doctrine that if some theory ( that is supposed to be speaking about the nature of physical /material reality ) is not verifiable then it is meaningless or absurd. SSism states that the meaning of a theory has nothing to do with its verifiabitlity but rather the nature of concepts it involves. ( This is axiomatic. )

2. Critique of logical falsificationism -

Logical falsificationism is a doctrine that if some theory ( that is supposed to be speaking about the nature of physical / material reality ) is not falsifiable then it is unscientific. Thus it is instead metaphysical, if at all meaningful. SSism states that falsifiability of a theory has nothing to do with its being scientific. (This is axiomatic.)

3. The principle of universal doubt -

It is the principle that ‘anything may be possible’ for what is believed to be 100 % certain at the moment may be because of the limited intellectual capacities of the believer. This suggests that no part / kind of science (including pure mathematics) is to be seen as absolutely certain. Thus the idea of science reduces to the idea of systematic body of knowledge where each group or proposition has its own probability attached to it.

Superultramodern Science (SS) =

1. Superultramodern Scientism ( SSism )

2. The NSTP ( Non - Spatial Thinking Process ) Theory

3. Conmathematics ( Conceptual Mathematics )

4. The FR ( Flawed Reason ) Theory

5. The FMUP ( Flawed Modern / Ultramodern Physics ) Theory

The word philosophy, as it is distinguished from science, is misleading, as it means what philosophy contains is impossible to be a systematic body of knowledge and what science contains is certain or proved.

In order to meet new people, you have to get out and make
yourself available to new acquaintances. It’s highly unlikely
that you will meet many people while sitting alone in your
living room watching television or playing video games. It’s one
thing to want to meet new people but it is quite another thing
to actually start meeting new people. If you really desire to
start meeting some new people try making an effort to go out at
least 4 nights a week and engage in an activity that you enjoy.

If you enjoy reading, libraries and book stores are your best
bet for meeting people with similar interests. You can spend a
weekend day or an evening perusing the racks at a local library
or book store. Make sure to spend the majority of your time
searching in sections that you enjoy but spend your time people
watching instead of reading. You are more likely to meet someone
with similar interests if you stick to what you like. If you
notice someone looking at a book you have read or were planning
to read, be bold and approach them. Using the book as a
conversation starter gives you a starting point.

If you enjoy a physical activity such as running, make an effort
to visit local stores that sell sneakers in an effort to meet
new people. Since running is a subject that you are
knowledgeable about and enjoy you may find yourself in a
situation where you are able to offer your opinion or advice.
For example if you notice someone who seems to be struggling to
decide between two running shoes, don’t hesitate to jump in an
offer your opinion. If you are knowledgeable about a subject
most people will appreciate your opinion so offering advice
about your area of expertise is one surefire tip for meeting new
people.

Visiting local art museums and taking an interest in a specific
piece of art can be a surefire tip for meeting new people. Chose
your favorite piece of art and spend a little time lingering
near this exhibit. If you spend enough time by your favorite
exhibit, you are bound to overhear someone else admiring the
art. You can take this opportunity to strike up a conversation
about why you like the exhibit as well and offer your
interpretation of the piece.

Joining a volunteer group for a cause you support is another
surefire way to meet new people. You will meet many people who
feel passionately about the same cause and will instantly have
something to talk about. Additionally these groups often
organize many projects and joining different committees will
allow you to not only help out the group but also meet a variety
of new people in the process.

You may also meet new people by signing up for a local
recreational sports league. Most major cities have leagues
available where you can sign up as an individual and fill in on
a team that is short a player. While it may be fun to join this
league with a group of your existing friends, signing up as an
individual is a surefire way to meet new people.

Attending religious services is another surefire way to meet new
people. The service itself may just be an hour long ceremony
that does not promote meeting new people but religious groups
often participate in a variety of other activities and are
usually forming committees for many of these activities. Signing
up for one of these committees affords you the chance to meet a
few members of the congregation on an individual basis.

Becoming involved in local politics may lead to meeting new
people. Getting involved in local politics can be a touchy
subject because many of the people you meet may feel extremely
passionate about their opinions. While this can be troublesome
if you meet those with opinions that differ, you are also likely
to meet many people who share opinions similar to yours.

Venturing to a nightclub or bar alone can be another surefire
tip for meeting new people. Nightclubs and bars are
traditionally thought of as places to meet new people but many
people who visit these venues have trouble meeting people. The
problem is that going out with a large group of friends makes
you less approachable. Try visiting a bar alone and you may find
yourself meeting more people than ever before.

Don’t pass up wedding or other party invitations just because
you don’t have a date because attending these events solo can be
a surefire way to meet new people. Many people would decline
invitations for a function instead of going along but going
alone can be your ticket to meeting new people. You will be
likely to find others who are also attending the party without a
date and this can be a great opportunity to strike up a
conversation and meet some new people.

A final surefire tip for meeting new people is to attend a
sporting event for a sport you enjoy. Here you will find many
other people who have a similar interest and your common
interest can lead to a new relationship. Sporting events also
offer fans the chance to celebrate and commiserate together as
their favorite team has its ups and downs.

If you seriously want to start meeting new people the first step
is to start getting out of your house more often. Once you are
out, be sure to make yourself available by traveling solo and
making eye contact with those you are interested in meeting.
Also, spend time participating in activities that you enjoy and
you are much more likely to meet new people who share your
interests. Getting out more, engaging in activities you enjoy
and making yourself available while also taking a few risks by
starting conversations are some surefire tips for meeting new
people.

Phishing is the practice of sending fraudulent email messages supposedly from a legitimate company or organization in order to trick someone into giving out personal and confidential information. This information could include a user ID, password, credit card number or even a Social Security number. At its most basic level, Phishing is a form of identity theft. It is one of the fastest growing cyber crimes, and there are estimates that 1 in 20 people who receive a Phishing email will respond to it with their personal information. Since the criminals who send out these Phishing messages are good at what they do, it’s important to be able to recognize a Phishing email so you won’t respond to their request and become a victim of identity theft. Here are a few signs that the message you have received might just be a Phishing expedition.

• The email message is generic. Phishing emails are sent out in bulk to thousands of people, so you’ll see a generic greeting like ‘Dear Valued Customer’ and not directly addressed to you by name.

• The message gives a false sense of urgency. Phishing emails are developed and designed specifically to push the recipient to immediate action. If there is no compelling reason to respond to the message, you won’t. But if there is a fear of some kind of consequence for not providing the requested information you might just be motivated to act quickly.
This fear, urgency or even panic created by a Phishing email begins right with the subject line. Here are a few examples from actual Phishing messages:
‘Online Alert: Online Account is Blocked’

‘Fraud Report’

‘Credit Card Declined Notice’

‘Unauthorized Account Access’

The text of the message builds upon the initial sense of urgency. A message may state that your account will be closed within 24 hours if you don t verify your information. Sometimes the messages state that there has been suspicious activity on your bank account, or your credit card has been charged by an undesirable web site.

The criminals who send out Phishing emails have taken their scam to a new level. Now people are getting Phishing messages that offer a reward for responding to the message. The newest Phishing scam is a message that states you ve won a gift card somewhere (JC Penney, Circuit City and The Sports Authority have been recent ones), and you need to click the link in the email to provide the information where the gift can be sent. Other Phishing emails offer free enrollment in a fraud protection program by clicking the link and providing the requested information.

• The message states specifically “this is not a scam”. How does that saying go if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it probably is a duck. Legitimate messages don’t need to state the obvious.

• A request is made to verify your information, and a link provided for you to do so. Phishing emails will use some tactic in order to trick the recipient into providing confidential information. This request is often tied in with the false sense of urgency created in the message. The link will take you to a very authentic looking site and ask you to fill in certain personal information. If you recognize you’ve made a mistake and you try to go back to a Phishing web site you probably won’t find it. The average lifespan of a Phishing web site in December 2004 was 6 days.

The link that is included in the email message for you to click and provide information might look legitimate, but it isn’t. Often the criminals will create a web site that has almost the same name as the original web site. They might add the word “verify” or use some other word along with the company name. You should never click a hyperlink in an email, especially if you don’t know who sent it to you.

Knowledge can be power when it comes to protecting yourself from identity theft and Phishing scams. Be aware of the tricks a criminal might do to steal your information, and don’t fall prey to them.
