I am about to offend everyoneright, left, straight, gay, young, old. This article is so offensive you probably shouldn’t read it at all. Heck, I shouldn’t be writing it.

You will find yourself suddenly cheering as if I “really get it” then you will be raving mad when you realize I disagree with you completely.

So you have been warned. Don’t blame me if you are rushed to the hospital with sky-high blood pressure. Go ahead and have a stiff drink nowbefore you beginif that’s your kind of thing. (If you think Jesus made non-alcoholic wine, you probably should stop reading right now and get your daily enema.)

Ready? Here goes…

I hate a lesbian.

Don’t hear me saying something I didn’t say. I didn’t say, “I hate lesbians.” That isn’t true. I simply hate one lesbian in particular. Her name is Tina.

Tina used to do my wife’s nailsyou know, put those long plastic things on the ends of her fingers. $50 a pop, but that’s not why I hate her.

She and her partner got married a few years ago in Vegas. They live in a decent house. They enjoy playing with their pugs.

None of those things explain my disgust.

I hate Tina because she’s, well, an asshole.

Now I don’t use that type of language often. In fact, I can’t think of one other person I would call such a crude, crass name. Nobody. But if anyone qualifies for the brown shriveled sphincter award, it’s her.

Now, I don’t hate her because she’s a lesbian. I would hate her no matter what her sexual orientation. She’s an asshole who just happens to be into chicks.

What’s my point? You can’t lump people together into a group and say “they’re all the same.” They’re not. Some of them are cool. Some are, well, human gas vents.

Let me explain why the so-called church is having so much trouble dealing with the issue of homosexualityit creeps out a majority of them.

It creeps some of them out because they’re deeply scared they might be gay and just “suppressing it.” Some of them truly believe there is an unusually strong hatred in God for that part of His creation. Others think homosexuals are the ones who molest children (most often it’s heteros who abuse kids.)

Bottom line: Homosexuality gives a bunch of people the heebie-jeebies.

As such homosexuality gets treated differently than almost every other thing called “sin” in the institutional church. Pastors like to preach against it because it lets them look good without actually accomplishing anything. Congregations like it because it reminds them of the “wall of separation” between gay and straight.

No pink shirts here.

There’s only one problem…none of it is very Biblical. The Bible talks about sexual sin. It calls lots of things sexual sineverything from sleeping with a sheep, to sleeping with your wife when she is on her period. All called sexual sin in the Bible.

Guess what folks? The Bible also differentiates between temptation to sin and actually committing the sin. I know there can be mental sinslike malicebut I would rather you hate me than kill me; lust after me than rape me.

So how does God view homosexuality?

First, for the heteros among you, I have to begin our journey with some familiar territory.

Let’s start with good-old pubescent teenage, hormone driven, male. He likes girls. He likes girls a lot. And he likes lots of girls. Pretty much anything that walks by with the right shape will send him drooling.

Anthropologists will tell you the human male is designedboth physically and mentallyto have multiple sexual partners. He notices women.

In fact, polygamy is never forbidden in scripture (we’ll look at that another time.)

Despite his design, he understands because of his commitment to his faith he must remain a virgin until married and remain faithful to his wife.

He eventually settles down and commits himself to just one woman. They get married, have lots of emotionally and sexually well-adjusted children, and live happily ever after.

If he didn’t have sex before marriage and was faithful to his partner during marriage he avoided both premarital sex and adultery.

Despite his inbred design to have multiple sexual partners, he made a conscious choice to honor a commitment made to his God and his wife.

Now lets move to our more “hetero challenged” brethren:

Just for the sake of argument, let’s assume they are born gaythey are born with a sexual attraction to men in chaps.

Now if he chooses to accept Christ, he understands he must not indulge that desirejust like his hetero brother did not indulge his desire for multiple partners.

There is no difference. If the Bible calls adultery sin and the Bible calls homosexuality sin, they ought to be treated the same. Sexual sin is sexual sin.

But of course, they aren’t. Jimmy Swaggert was caught with a prostitute and given a second chance. Then a third. I doubt the church would have been so forgiving if the prostitute was named Victor rather than Victoria.

Look the Bible is clearhomosexual behavior is sin. So is premarital sex with your hetero fiancé. There isn’t any difference. That’s what it says. Don’t waste my time trying to prove it doesn’t say that. It does.

We have just a few options:

1. We decide the Bible is archaic and doesn’t apply the same way today that it did 2,000 years ago. We can sleep with our special others whether we are married or not. Those sexual restraints just don’t apply now.

2. We decide the Bible is relevant today and determine to do what it says even if it’s hard at timesor hard all the time.

3. We decide the Bible is relevant, but it’s too hard to follow. We decide not to do what the Bible says.

Which ever you decide, just be honest with yourself. Own your actions. If you are going to sleep with every person you can, stop pretending you’re not a whore. If you’re going to practice your homosexuality, do it.

I have tremendous faith in Philippians 3:15:

“If on any point you think differently, this too God will make clear to you. Only let us live up to what we have already attained.”

If you are saved and I’m saved, God will eventually bring both of us where He wants us to be.

These days it seems as though home security has become an industry focused on the newest and most cutting edge of gadgets and systems. From night vision surveillance cameras to bulletproof glass in home windows, the times, as Bob Dylan once sang, they are a changing. However, no matter how high tech the home security low down becomes, there is one piece of home protection equipment that you may have forgotten to order with your stealth alarm system. A real gem of a device that has been used with proven results for thousands of years. Not only will it alert you of potential danger, it may even fetch the newspaper for you. Known as man’s best friend they are also one of man’s best defences when it comes to home security. Yes, the humble and loyal guard dog.

Assuming that you have the means and space to keep a substantially sized dog on your property, perhaps the first thing to consider is whether you want a guard dog or a watch dog. The majority of dogs are watch dogs by instinctual manner, they will bark and become suspicious when something disturbs them (some on the other hand will approach strangers in the hope that they come bearing gifts of doggy treats, and than proceed to roll over for a belly rub). Some breeds have been trained to be better, or more alert, watch dogs than others. As well almost any medium to large sized dog has a certain air about him or her that seems to say, “You really want to mess with me?” Think about it, if you are walking down the street and you see someone walking a Corky you are far less likely to be alarmed or cautious than if you saw a bullmastiff coming your way. When talking about actual guard dogs, not your garden variety household watch dog, we are talking about a dog that has been trained and often bred for the purpose of guarding and defending your home.

Where a watch dog may bark, the threat often ends there (so hence the term “his bark is worse than his bite”). With a guard dog the opposite is true. While some people take it upon themselves to train their dog to be a guard dog, other folks opt to buy an animal that has been trained by an expert (who will typically be a dog breeder as well) in this field. Somewhere in between lays guard dog training classes, or private instructors that you may find listings for in larger cities or online.

A guard dog, while generally kind and calm with its master and family, is not the sort of animal that you let run free in the neighbourhood. It is an animal that has been trained to defend and at times even attack in order to protect its masters and property. They are strong, athletic dogs whose wolf and wild animal genetics have been honed and put to use in order to defend and protect. This is not to say that every guard dog is waiting to bite someone’s face off. On the contrary, as with almost all domestic dogs, if they are well handled and cared for from puppy-hood then a guard dog can have a gentle, sweet temperament around not only its owners but those people that its masters assure the dog are not a potential threat.

There are many things to consider when contemplating a guard dog. One key point is that training a dog solely to attack and physically do harm to other people is quite often considered illegal as it is in essence training the animal to be a weapon. Guard dogs should be on alert for all kinds of intruder or disturbances, from people to other animals or loud sounds. But at the same time they need to be well trained, aware of when, and only when it would be appropriate to actually do more than just bark. Always check the laws in your area or country when it comes to guard dogs, as some breeds are even illegal to own or train as guard animals in certain places. A middle ground between barking and attacking is a guard dog that has been trained to simply attempt to restrain the intruder (one method of this type of training is Schutzhund training).

Another important factor is the size and breed of the dog. Common breeds of guard dogs with successful track records include (but are not limited to) Akitas, Chow Chows, Mastiffs, German Shepherds, Doberman Pinschers, Dogue de Bordeauxs, Fila Brasileiro (a somewhat rare breed from Brazil), Rottweilers, Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Boxers, Great Pyreneeses, and yes, even the misunderstood Pit Bull Terrier.

Before you rush out to buy a guard dog though, or look at Fido your pet poodle and wonder if he’s trainable, consider that a guard dog requires a lot of care and attention. As well you will need to put up signs on your property warning visitors (and potential intruders) of your canine home security system. Should you decide to get a guard dog, love it and treat it as you would any dog, as you rest assured that your age old home security system is on guard twenty-four-seven. Ready to both bark and play fetch at the drop of a hat.

Computer is an electronic machine work on the instructions of human being. In other words you have to input data to get your required output. Sure it has its own intelligence which is hidden from a user, that help in accurate and speedy calculations.

It has memory to store your things which is called as data. Computer helps user to huge amount of data securely, and helps to retrieve the stored data in fraction of time. It is very efficient way of data maintaining. Also it is useful fast way of searching piece of information from mass information.

Data is nothing but arranged information, it may be text, numbers and graphics.

There are two basic categories of computer fields

1. Computer Software 2. Computer Hardware

Owning an MP3 player can be a terrific experience. Their compact design, portability and simple customization are just a few of the reasons that these little products are creating a big buzz in the world of technology. The internet makes it very simple for anyone to own an MP3 player because of the endless retailers who are eager to make a sale, but the world wide web also makes it very convenient for anyone who wants to add some terrific tunes to their playlist.

With all of these options, there is undoubtably plenty of questions to go around. Below are several commonly asked questions regarding MP3 players.

Q: What is a refurbished MP3 player?
A: A refurbished product is one that has simply been returned to the manufacturer for any number of reasons, including a defect, missing user’s manual or accessory or perhaps even a product that was used as a store display. A refurbished product is not necessarily an implication that the product is defective but, if it was, being labeled as refurbished means that the item has been repaired according to the manufacturer’s specifications and is ready to use. The most appealing factor of a refurbished product is that it will cost less than one that is brand new.

Q: How do I download files from my computer and onto my MP3 player?
A: The MP3 player should have been accompanied by some type of software, connector cable and/or instructions on how to properly download files. In many cases, a USB connection and cable are required for fast and easy transfer. Many MP3 players have software that allows files to easily be managed and prepared for transfer.

Q: What file formats can my MP3 player use?
A: Every MP3 player can use a .mp3 file, but many can also read .wma file extensions. Few other formats are readable by MP3 players, but that depends on the manufacturer and the product itself. The user’s manual, which should accompany the purchase of any MP3 player, should contain information relating to the file extensions that can be read.

Q: What if I don’t have a file format that my MP3 player can use?
A: There are some types of software that allow users to convert their files into an extension that is compatible with their MP3 player. This is a fairly simply process and can be compared to the simplicity of converting a GIF image file to JPEG.

Q: Is my MP3 player covered under any type of warranty?
A: That depends on several factors, including the manufacturer’s policy and whether or not the MP3 player was purchased new. Many new products are covered under warranty and, to some extent, even refurbished products are eligible for limited warranty coverage. If the MP3 player was purchased from another individual, any warranty coverage will not carry over to the new owner.

Q: What is the best way to store my MP3 player?
A: The proper way to store, or transport, an MP3 player is in a case designed specifically for this purpose. As with all electronics, they should not be shuffled around loosely or placed in extreme heat or cold. A carrying case designed for an MP3 player will help to keep the product safe and working properly.
