Recently I had the great pleasure of hearing one of my favorite bands, Groovelily, perform their original musical theater piece Striking 12 in New York City. Before the show, as the band was warming up, the lead singer/violinist Valerie told us a powerful story. Valerie had recently performed with her father at an event to celebrate his lifetime contribution as a cantor. After the performance, an older woman came up to Valerie and told her about how she had played violin as a child in Germany and how much playing the violin had meant to her. She went on to explain that when her family fled the country during the Nazi regime, she was not allowed to bring her beloved violin with her to America because her family feared it would mark them as Jews. So, she grew up, got married, and raised a family. While she encouraged her son to play the violin (and he grew up to be a musician), she never indulged or rekindled her passion to play the violin again. When the woman finished telling her story, she held Valerie’s hands tightly, looked her in the eyes, and emphatically said, “Keep on playing.”

Every time I hear this story I am deeply moved (yes, I love the band and have heard this fairly recent story multiple times already). I am moved because of my own ups and downs as an amateur musician who can think of a million excuses why I’m not good enough to be playing or how I shouldn’t be “wasting” time when there are so many other more important things to do. I am also moved because I am overwhelmed with the sheer amount of creation, beauty, joy, and passion that is missing in this world each day because so many people have abandoned their passions and joy for the much more “important” and “serious” business of life.

Take a moment right now and consider:
- What activities did you love to take part in as a child, teenager, or young adult? Do you still partake in any of these or related activities?
- What did you dream about most wanting to be when you grew up?
- What are you doing when you feel the most joyful, passionate, or in the flow? When was the last time you spent time doing this?

If you’re like most people I know, you’re probably laughing because it has been so long since you’ve done any of these things that you don’t even remember or you’re muttering a number of excuses as to why you can’t be doing these things. Some of those excuses might sound like:
- I don’t have time
- There are more important things to do
- It’s impossible to do now that I have a wife/husband/mate, career, kids, house, etc.
- There’s no way I can ever have what I dreamed about, it was only a fantasy. After all, I’m middle aged, overweight, and out of shape and certainly not going to become an NBA, NFL, WNBA, Broadway star, or rock musician in this lifetime, so why bother at all.

Well, what if you could have and do what you most enjoy? What if you could get in touch with the essence of what you really wanted and then go and do THAT? For instance, perhaps what really appealed to you about becoming a rock musician was making music and sharing it with others. You could achieve that dream at any age. Pick up an old instrument you used to play and begin to take lessons again. Learn something new. Volunteer to share your music with kids, the elderly, or a church group. Another example could be that you loved the spirit of competition and physical challenge inherent in the dream of playing professional sports. Well, you can have that too! While you might not be the next Lance Armstrong or Serena Williams, there are many ways to get physically fit and be competitive in sports at any age. I’ve seen athletes in the Masters division of different sports play with more heart and competitive spirit in their 70s, 80s, and 90s, than many young professional athletes exhibit. I personally know people with demanding careers and families who regularly compete in triathlons and cycle, run, or walk untold numbers of miles each year for charity. If they can do it, so can you.

My point is - you deserve to have joy, passion, and play in your life. Yes, life can be serious at times and we all have responsibilities, but you owe it to yourself to really live a little and give yourself the gift of something just for you. You’d be amazed at how just a little bit of time spent regularly on something that feeds your soul will yield results ten times over in the other “more serious” parts of your life.

This month, go in search of your long lost violin. Dust off your guitar, tennis racket, paintbrushes, or writer’s pad. Give yourself permission to rekindle the passion, find the joy, and PLAY.

Sir Tim Berners-Lee was the first Web designer and the inventor of the World Wide Web. He launched the first online website in 6 August 1991. He summed up the Internet communication (compiled with emails) with hypertext transfer protocols.

Initially the Web designing was based upon the simple markup languages, functionality of these languages was very limited. At that time only the hyper linking between the pages and layout services were available; it became more extensible and rich in context with the advancement of Web technology and Web design.

As the time progressed the Web designing languages changed their faces, one of the main drastic change was the dynamicity of the pages along with the database applications. This particular change cropped up some new languages like VBscript, JavaScript, ASP, ASP.Net, Cold fusion etc. These languages are used to create server-side scripting technology.

CSS and Tables:

Tales were hugely used in the time of Netscape Navigator, which even supports the nested tables. But as the Internet Explorer took over the browser market the whole concept was altered by implementing CSS (Cascading Style Sheet). CSS emphasized on the semantic markup of HTML, not on the lay out in the table; by which it helps the search engine spiders to understand what is going on inside the page.

Flash and the web applications:

With the invention of Flash, the web applications became more lucrative and popular, while the technology became more complex. Flash was introduced by Macromedia in 1996 to promote a TV-like application in the world of Web. It was made by Jonathan Gay; it has made its mark within a very short period of time in the World of Web.

The animated figures, movies, games can be made by Flash, so it is very useful for developing attractive web applications. Flash has already crossed its fifth version and contains a large amount of codes for developing graphical interfaces. Today it has over 500,000 developers and runs in over 250 million computers.

Photoshop and Web Applications:

Photoshop was invented by the Knoll brothers- Thomas and John Knoll. The development started in 1987 when they both were working on a digital image process project.

Initially they invented a small subroutine for computer graphics and applied it into a program called Display. In 1990 Adobe published the first official version - Photoshop1.0 which was the improved version of that subroutine.

After its release Photoshop captured the top position in the Graphics market. Now Photoshop 7.0 is in the market and has knocked down all its competitors.
Photoshop is compatible with both the Windows and Mac O.S.

Dynamic web design:

The Web pages can be designed dynamically by two ways - Server-side and Client-side methods.

Server-side scripting is based on the Web server technology where a user’s requirement is accomplished by executing a script directly in the server. This technique is used to create the user-interactive pages where the third-party interferences like databases or animated movies are required.

This technology provides more control over the script and more functionalities of script. Examples of Server-side scripting languages are ASP, ASP, .NET, JavaScript, Cold Fusion etc.

Client-side scripting is based on the modules of Web programs that are run in the user’s browser on client-side. These programs are not executed in the Web Server. These applications are generally implemented for ornamenting the pages and for calling some environmental variables etc. Example of Client-side scripting language is JavaScript.

Business values of Web Development:

People working with web designing are uncountable. Most of the large and medium companies have already promoted their business through the web. Now there are many existing sites which are required to be re-designed and re-generated, as well.

Moreover the companies which have not yet published their sites will launch it in very near future. So the scope of business in Web development sector is very high. Online business is gradually becoming the best medium for advertising, especially for the small companies.

Professor Kroner is one of the world’s most famous geologists,
becoming well known among his colleague scientists for his
criticisms against the theories of some of the major scientists
in his field. Sheikh cAbdul-Majeed A. Zindanî met with him and
presented several Qur’ânic verses and Hadîth which he studied
and commented upon.

“Thinking where Muhammad came from… I think it is almost
impossible that he could have known about things like the common
origin of the universe, because scientists have only found out
within the last few years with very complicated and advanced
technological methods that this is the case.”

“Somebody who did not know something about nuclear physics 1400
years ago could not, I think, be in a position to find out from
his own mind for instance that the earth and the heavens had the
same origin, or many others of the questions that we have
discussed here…

If you combine all these and you combine all these statements
that are being made in the Qur’ân in terms that relate to the
earth and the formation of the earth and science in general, you
can basically say that statements made there in many ways are
true, they can now be confirmed by scientific methods, and in a
way, you can say that the Qur’ân is a simple science text book
for the simple man. And that many of the statements made in
there at that time could not be proven, but that modern
scientific methods are now in a position to prove what Muhammad
said 1400 years ago.”

Ringtones are like hot cakes for the youngsters, the market is
huge, estimated world wide sales of $ 2.5 Billion per year. The
cost of a ringtone is ranging from $0.99 - $2.99. Most singers
and performers provide rights for their melodies to be converted
to ringtones versions. Survey shows that about 26% of cell phone
owners downloaded at least once a ringtone. Many people
downloading more than one as you can customize and set the phone
to play different ringtones per specific caller.

For instance if mom is calling the cell phone will play a
certain ringtone and another one for dad and for your girl
friend a different one so you don’t have to guess who is calling
you, it is totally personalized per caller.

There are four types of ringtones:

* Monophonic ringtones play a melody of a song one note at a
time, with no harmonies.

* Polyphonic tones add harmonies to the song.

* Real-life ringtones include voices, quotes, or other strange,
real sounds.

* Master tones are compressed clips of actual songs, as heard on
the radio(not just their melodies or a simple harmonic version).

How do you download a ringtone?

There many web sites that offer a huge selections of lyrics and
songs, themes from movies, hip-hop, pop, dance, singers,
classics and you name it.

The selection is per specific cell phone model and the process
is simple, fast and easy. You select a ringtone, choose your
cell phone maker and model, you see on the screen an SMS code,
you type it in your mobile phone and send, then an SMS message
is sent to you with your ringtone to be installed in two short
steps process.

It is estimated though that the ringtone download party will
cool down a bit in the next few years as more cell phones will
become an MP3 players of real music and other cool features.
