There is no doubt that identity theft is a growing problem and we should all try to educate ourselves to avoid being a victim of this often devastating crime. It seems that criminals are using increasingly ingenious methods to gain access to our private and valuable personal information and computer users must be aware of criminal information gathering techniques known as phishing.

You may have heard about phishing scams in the news recently because so many have fallen prey to this clever methodology employed by tech savvy criminals. We are all busy in todays fast paced world and it’s hard to keep up with every new threat and development so the purpose of this article is to describe what phishing is, and how you can avoid being a victim.

Phishing attacks employ social engineering and technical subterfuge in the attempt to obtain an individual’s personal identity data and financial account information. Social-engineering schemes use fraudulent e-mails which attempt to direct consumers to counterfeit websites, often perfectly replicating legitimate business sites to trick recipients into releasing financial data such as credit card numbers, account passwords, user names and social security numbers. Hijacking brand names of banks, online retailers and credit card companies, phishers regularly obtain this private data. Technical subterfuge schemes usually plant spyware and crimeware onto user computers to access personal data directly, most often utlizing Trojan keylogger spyware.

What can we do to avoid such clever deceptions? First of all just knowing that the threat exists is very important and many victims report that they had never heard of phishing before becoming a victims. In addition there are several practical precautions we can all take to minimize our exposure to risk.

1. Be wary of any email containing urgent requests for financial information suggesting your immediate response is required, statements designed to upset and excite the respondent are often included to elicit a quick reply. These emails often demand user names and passwords as well as SSN’s. Legitimate businesses never ask for confidential data via email and none of this information should ever be sent by email as security is severely compromised.

2. If you question the authenticity of an email don’t use the links embedded in the email to access the company webpage, instead type the URL of the company in your browser to insure you are looking at the legitimate website. You can also phone the company to insure an email request is authentic and companies today are aware of phishing threats and will generally appreciate being informed of a potential problem.

3. Financial information should only be communicated through a secure website or by telephone and never by an email request. Secure websites always have the https:// preceding the web address rather than just http:// in the browser address window.

4. Check your online accounts on a regular basis even if you have no transactions, dormant and little used accounts are common targets for online predators. Carefully review your credit card statements for unauthorized transactions and make sure your shred them if not retained for your records.

5. Make sure your browser is updated regularly with the latest security patches and you should also have an anti-spyware program installed and running at all times.

Take these necessary precautions to avoid your exposure to the identity theft problem known as phishing.

If a store sells inferior products or a business gives bad service, most customers will not come back and that store or business will eventually go bankrupt. If public schools sell bad education, year after year, why don’t they go bankrupt? Why aren’t they shut down?

The answer is government compulsion. In private schools, if the school does a bad job educating children, parents will soon take their child out of that school. If enough parents take their kids out of the school, that school will go bankrupt. A private school depends on the voluntary consent and tuition payments of its parent-customers to stay in business.

Unlike private schools, public schools are a government-controlled education system that stays in business through naked compulsion. Local governments pass laws that give school authorities near-monopoly powers over our children’s education. Compulsory-attendance laws force children to go to these schools. School taxes force parents to pay for these schools. Unlike private schools, public schools rarely go out of business, no matter how bad they are, because they get their “customers” and their money by force.

Compulsion rears its ugly head in our public schools in many other ways. State teacher licensing laws prevent excellent but unlicensed educators or outside experts from teaching in the schools. Tenure laws make it almost impossible for school boards to fire incompetent or even mediocre teachers or principals.

Local governments force children to go to public schools for six to eight hours a day, five days a week for up to twelve years, even though these children might hate public school. School authorities force children to study subjects that school authorities dictate, even though children might find these subjects boring or meaningless. Public schools also force parents to accept teachers that parents might not like or think are competent.

Many public schools force children to learn math and reading with teaching methods that can cripple children’s math and reading abilities. Public schools often subject children to values or sex-education classes that parents object to. The list goes on and on.

Like tax-supported prisons, public schools don’t shut down because the whole system rests on a foundation of naked force. Take away compulsory-attendance laws and compulsory school taxes and it’s highly likely that most public schools would “go out of business.”

But parents don’t have to wait for the highly unlikely event of public schools going out of business in their lifetime. Luckily, parents in America, unlike those in Germany or many other countries, have the right to homeschool their children. Parents can also take advantage of new, low-cost education options available to them right now, such as low-cost Internet private schools. I go into detail about these new education options in my book, “Public Schools, Public Menace.”

Most relationships start out in a way that its like there’s
fireworks everytime the two people are together. Both of you
just cant get enough of each other, you enjoy the times you
spend together and cant wait to do it again. There is some kind
of chemistry developing between the two of you that just seems
to bind and fuse the two of you together the more you spend more
time with each other. Sparks just seem to fly when you get
together and more and more people tend to notice the chemistry
between the two of you.

Everybody tends to say that a two person have chemistry when
they are fit for each other. Its more than just a cliché since
chemistry cant really be described, its just the way two persons
seem to just click. You know you have chemistry with another
person when your knees start shaking everytime you are near her,
you begin to stammer, your stomach feels like a haven for
butterflies and you get all sweaty all the time. Chemistry could
be another word for love but in some cases, the chemistry might
be gone but love could still be present. That’s why some people
would like to revive the chemistry in their relationship because
they still love the person and would like to make the
relationship better; like that way it used to be when they fell
in love with one another.

The rush one gets when they are in love, it’s like having a
triple shot of espresso. It’s like your always high and on top
of the world. Your heart is racing everytime your near your
partner and you develop powerful feelings that are just
constantly nagging for attention, you cant explain what it is,
but its there. But after a certain period of time, some
relationships get past the chemistry and the momentum wanes, you
have gone past the “honeymoon period.” Many have strived to get
their chemistry back; here are some tips on how to get your
chemistry back.

Chemistry can either be through physical and emotional. Physical
chemistry deals with the way we are attracted to our parents on
the physical level. In some relationships, the partners tend to
be too relaxed and comfortable with their relationship that they
have a tendency to let go of their physical looks. When this
happens, one partner may lose their physical attraction and
their physical chemistry as well. Some cases have shown that
physical chemistry may also be about the great sex they have,
when this type of physical chemistry is forgotten and the sex
becomes too regular and boring, the physical chemistry may be
lost. Loss of attention to the physical attributes and to the
physical contact is what causes these problems, try to get
yourself back in shape and try to look good for your partner,
this will show that you don’t take your partner for granted and
you still want to look good for them. In regards to sex, try to
be adventurous, think up of ways which can spicen up your sexual
activities to make them more exciting and adventurous for both
of you. This will rekindle the physical chemistry that has
decreased over the years.

With emotional chemistry, this could be because we have grown
tired with our partner because of the routine becoming too
routinely. Refresh your emotional chemistry for each other by
taking in a new perspective about each other. Take vacations,
act out your fantasies, be open to one another and find a
solution on how to bring the sparks back to each other. Try to
discover what the both of you want out of the relationship and
build on that. Be open to new ideas and never contradict. The
less fight the better it is to strengthen the ties that bind you
together. If you truly love one another, you will find out and
everything in how to get the chemistry back in your
relationship.

In the years of the dot com boom and bust, the Microsoft MCSE Certification has gotten its eye blackened over an over. Paper Microsoft MCSE’s who were excellent at finding brain dumps and passing exams gave the Microsoft MCSE Certification a bad name. What used to be a guarantee of a nice salary is now ridiculed in some ignorant circles. After working in the Information Technology field for twelve years I still believe the Microsoft MCSE Certification is worth every dollar you spend and every hour spent in study and practice. I’ll share my history with the Microsoft MCSE Certification and why I still believe it’s a valuable certification credential.

My History: Pre Microsoft MCSE

When I started out as a PC LAN Analyst I wanted to someday run my own shop. The best way I felt to get there was to study for the much sought after Novell CNE and Microsoft MCSE Certification. Because I worked in a Novell environment and had no opportunity to work with Windows NT I started on my Novell CNE Certification. I went book by book purchasing them on eBay and reading while I worked a second job. The CNE was also an easier certification to get as the answers to the exam came direct from the books. Microsoft’s MCSE Certification exams tend to generalize on the concepts from the books rather than the text verbatim. Once complete with the CNE I had a full understanding of Novell’s File Server and their weak attempt at a firewall/web server. I understood archaic technologies like IPX and Token Ring as well as networking technologies used today such as Ethernet, and TCP/IP I at least had enough knowledge to perform well at my job and work as an IT Consultant where I formed my own business Gall Consulting which runs today as a successful income.

After getting my CNE Certification I finally got a job running my own show. I had one Novell 3.12 server which ran the entire company. Within a year we began to work with Microsoft Windows NT 3.51 and NT 4.0 was just on the scene. I began the lengthy study of the seven Microsoft MCSE exams. When I had completed the Microsoft MCSE certification a year later I was like Yoda around the job. I had a complete set of knowledge about Windows Networking and Windows Applications. Because I completed the entire set of Microsoft MCSE exams and coursework I knew the technology and the theory behind the technology. This led to high performance as a Senior LAN Administrator. Rather than a swiss cheese education I had a thorough understanding of Microsoft Windows technology and could adapt to new situations easily.

NT 4.0 to Windows 2000 MCSE

When Windows 2000 Server and Active Directory was released we faced a problem. My small Novell to small Microsoft NT Domain, had grown to a world wide enterprise with five domains including various trusts going everywhere. DNS was handled by our UNIX group and we had to find a way to learn a new technology, create a single corporate Active Directory Domain and use Dynamic DNS on our Windows Active Directory domain controllers yet co-exist with our UNIX administrators who were none to happy to have to share DNS. Faced with this challenge I returned to what worked in the past. I studied for the Windows 2000 MCSE Certification

As I did before I started at the beginning and worked my way through each course and exam until I had completed my Windows 2000 MCSE Certification. By now I had a great career as an IT Operations Manager and no one was going to hire or pay me extra just for getting my Microsoft MCSE Certification. This is the true value of the certification. It started as my drive to obtain career credentials and became a vehicle to ensure I had an entire breadth of knowledge that would let me take on monumental tasks. Needless to say, today we have a single corporate Active Directory domain with a few sub domains necessary for DMZ areas.

Our DNS works so well the UNIX group asked us to take over and we’re able to build on Active Directory as a source of valuable corporate data. My point in this article is to look at the Microsoft MCSE Certification as a way to ensure you have all the knowledge rather than just what’s necessary in the short term. Knowing why something works is much more powerful than knowing just enough to build it in the first place the coursework involved in the Microsoft MCSE Certification provides this. I can say without fail, EVERY Information Technology professional I’ve worked with that had a Microsoft MCSE Certification performed at a MUCH higher level than those who only had on the job experience or had only studied what they needed to complete their daily tasks.

If data is accidentally deleted or otherwise missing, one or
more of the options on this page may help recover the data.

It is important not to do anything with the computer until a
decision is made. Every boot and even every keystroke
potentially permanently destroys the data.

1. Always check the Recycle Bin first. If the file is there,
right click the file then click Restore.

2. Search for deleted data: Log in to a profile with
Administrator access. Open My Computer Click Tools Click Folder
Options Click View tab Check “Show hidden files and folders”
Uncheck “Hide extensions for known file types” Uncheck “Hide
protected operating system files…” Click OK and follow
prompts. Start/Search Click “All files and folders” Type the
name of missing file in appropriate box. Click search. When
finished, go back and set checks to original configuration.

3. Some 3rd party tools such as
PCRepair Utilities can help you recover lost data as
well.

4. Search Google for “data recovery” for other options.

5. And if your Hard Drive is broken
check Tiger Direct for
great deals on a new one.

After buying a mobile phone, another difficult task is to choose the best network and plan according to your usage. It sounds easy if you think it this way: go online, select a brand, sign up for a service and purchase your mobile phone. But it is difficult if you want to think at every step so that you don’t end up paying more than you really need to. Looking at different offers, plans and then selecting one can be confusing if you are not sure what you want and you have not explored the market.
So after going through the difficult phase of purchasing your mobile phone, it comes the second phase of choosing the suitable mobile phone network and tariff for your needs and usage. There are so many mobile networks available today like Orange, 3 Mobile, T Mobile, O2, Vodafone, Virgin etc, all claiming to be the best offering cheap line rental tariff plans, free line rentals, half line rentals, free insurance, free handset and attractive mobile phone deals. Mobile networks usually have two kinds of plans: pay as you go phones and contract mobile phone. You just need to look for who is offering better value, offers and deals for your specific requirements. If you are wondering which one would be the best one for you, you need to do a lot of research.

The first step in choosing a network is to find out whether it at least provides coverage for areas in which you use your phone. There is no point in owning a mobile phone if you cannot make or receive calls in it. So make the best choice so that you get the best network services, coverage, plans, call costs and global roaming agreements. Make a list of name of companies, their plans including how many minutes they are giving, how much deposit they need, how long is the contract. If you talk more in the night, consider those plans offering night minutes. Make sure you have the flexibility to change plans. See if the network is offering calls in the same networks at reduced rates.

If you want to use your phone in abroad, pick a network with the greatest amount of roaming agreements which means you have more chances of staying in touch while you are out of the country. Make sure you can make and receive calls on the networks and in the countries you need.

Seek advices from specialist mobile phone stores or people who own a mobile phone for a long time. They can help you recommend a tariff that suits you and your business needs. Most networks have exciting offers, having tariffs that enable you to purchase bundles of minutes in advance. You can take advantage of low rate international or local calls. The most beneficial tariffs are most likely those that let you share minutes across multiple handsets, a great way to reduce costs. While choosing a mobile network, be assured of getting a dedicated customer service so that you can have someone to handle any queries you may have. So get your network service provider only after gaining enough information and getting the best plan which meets your needs.
