So just never download anything right? Well its more complicated than that. You see in this day and age computers are much more user friendly with many different automations. Often computers will automatically download plugins and the like in order to properly view a web page for instance. So spyware could gain entrance this way. Or programmers of these viruses often will disguise the download to look like something else so that you inadvertently download. Basically its bad and its programmers are smart. An Earth, Wind and Fire song says, “Through devotion blessed are the children. Praise the teachers who bring the light to many. Your devotion opens the life treasures and delivers from the fruits of evil.”

I think this song is very meaningful when it comes to Karmic Yoga, because the whole concept of Karmic Yoga, though it may not seem to be sometimes, is devotion to a higher power as well as other human beings. Through devotion we help all of humanity. We raise our own consciousness while we are helping others raise theirs. The truth is that when we truly live a devotional life, we are engaged in Karmic Yoga where we are. When we are devoted to anything positive or neutral (but not anything negative) we are doing Karmic Yoga. You may wonder why I am saying this. I will give you an example.

I once knew a man who played the top of a Bic pen. I would consider this very neutral. He could play rock and roll, classical music, jazz, anything, on the cap of this Bic pen. He had even done classical concerts on it. I met him working as a volunteer at a drop in center for mental health out patients. He was one of the counselors. My job was to help get people involved in activities like singing, dancing, and so on each week to enjoy themselves. One night we decided to have a talent show. One friend played the guitar, I sang and this man offered to play the Bic pen cap.

What the heck? I thought to myself. We began to perform and we were so good that everybody quickly joined in and had a good time. Later he participated in many performances at the drop in center. During later talks I found that his man had done the talk show tour all over the United States playing the Bic pen cap. His devotion to playing the Bic pen cap had led him all over the country. Now these outpatients were benefiting because this young man had been dedicated to playing the Bic pen top. Very interesting.

Playing the Bic pen top doesn’t seem like much, but one can even do service in the world and help those in need, by being devoted to learning how to do that. How much more can one effect the world by being devoted to art, music, writing, reading, teaching, alternative health, any of the activities in which humans engage daily? This type of devotion leads to action. It benefits the human family when one has perfected his or her gifts and shares them freely with others. When we do this we are engaged in Karmic Yoga.

Your devotion to “following your bliss,” as Joseph Campbell called it, and sharing that bliss with others, helps lift their spirits and helps make the world a better place. The world is in need of people who are happy and joyful. Your gift can be helping people to become joyful and to see the best parts of themselves. If you are working at a soup kitchen, feeding the hungry, digging wells for poor people in Africa, whatever, the element that is most necessary during these activities is to help people see the best parts of themselves. That can begin a climb from the deepest emotional and economic depths. To do this, however, firstly you must see the best of yourself. Following your bliss can help you do that.

Are you following your bliss? If you want to start doing Karmic Yoga it is important to dedicate yourself to doing so. It is important to dedicate yourself to become the most alive, vibrant, joyful person that you can possibly be, and that alive, vibrant, joyful person with others through your actions of service. For this is truly what we need in the world, people who are fully alive.

As you partake in your life of service, remember that just doing things for others isn’t enough. It is necessary to hone yourself so that you can be that beautiful spark of the Divine that you experiences in the most intimate moments. It is important to channel the creative nature of the Divine so all may partake of it. It is important to work from a center of being. Doing the work and service because you are a reflection of the embodiment of love that goes by many names is your objective. Through your devotion to this ideal and to other people, you will open the life treasures and deliver from the fruits of evil. This is the secret of Karmic Yoga—working on the self by working in the world and working in the world by working on the self.

It`s hard to believe that anybody would draw any attention to
that board with little wheels, called skate. The skating isn`t a
sport or hobby or entertainment. It`s a way of life. It`s not
obligatory to walk with 200 dollars in your pocket, to visit the
most expensive shops for sneakers and to order boards from USA.
The most important thing is the support between skaters.
Everyone, I`ve spoken to has telling me about the skating with
such a passion and the most important thing - how every morning
he wakes up with the bright thought for skating. For the real
skater this is the thing which may bring him the best
satisfaction especially when he`s just made the brilliant flip
or 360. The skating for skater is like the nutrition or drinking
water - the daily round is impossible without them. The favorite
season, no doubt, is the summer. They gather together, drinking
beer and watching the only one, who doesn`t feel lazy to make
the best tricks ever. Winter is the biggest holiday for skaters,
and holiday compares to the real HELL for them. At least you can
sit down, drink beer and watch the dudes from TV Extreme.
There`s no other society more united as the skate society. They
all know each other , there`s no disagreements(except about
music of course - there`s too many music styles that I have
never heard before ), there`s no envy , everyone admires their
rival`s work . The only thing they hate more than bladers, I
think, is the people that not only don`t skate, but spit at
skater`s maxim of living - skate or death. The craziest people,
I know, are skaters or have been skaters, but they had to stop
because of not-wanted circumstance.

There isn`t a skater without breakage - foot, hand, or head.
They are just so bent on skating that they don?t care about
themselves, they do what they want no matter what.

There`s no such a friendship like the friendship between
skaters. They put the board on first place and they will never
make a stupid dispute. If anyone needs help they will always
help him with whatever it takes - they give away, give up or
exchange stuff. No matter of their look or the way they talk,
they are may be the coolest guys on the world and you can have
fun anytime when you are with them.

In Bulgaria there is a skate society, not well developed though.
The best skaters, who have been skating for 3-4 years, go in
parks with special loading platforms and pyramids. I have walked
by these parks and watched 40 skaters collected all together and
wedded to their favorite occupation. They gather up in parks,
monuments, museums, banks, where the surface is with marble and
it`s suitable for skating. If there are no pyramids, then steps
can work too, as they`re in good shape, of course. Each skater
can find a place for skating. Anything needs desire and they are
the biggest dreamers - they wish a lot. Sometimes you can happen
to meet them, moving just next to the bus you travel by, or on
the street, flashing past you. But this is just in the capital -
Sofia.

Unfortunately, skating isn`t developed in all cities in
Bulgaria, even in Sofia isn`t as well-built as in Plovdiv (where
by the way are the greatest loading platforms), in Sliven, Varna
and Burgas too. Smaller, but also good is Gabrovo. It`s clean,
people are friendly and they are always ready to help and this
is very important when you`re a stranger. Although isn`t like in
the movies like Grindin and Ken Park, with the “skate pools” -
dream for each skater, the stage in Gabrovo is the best. I might
say that Asenovgrad is also well developed for the skate
culture. And yet, small cities don`t have any competition and
everyone can show his skills.

For a small country like Bulgaria the skate societies in
separate cities aren`t bad and the skaters are really good and
they deserve better stages and support. Despite that we aren`t
as good as in other countries. We can judge from all the movies
we watch every day, even from one of the most familiar TV serial
- the O.C. where Seth Cohen is skating on the street, coming
back from school. When will this happen here?

Skate and skate societies

Such a convention was the reason behind Top Ten Reviews decision to award GBM the highest mark for “Features”, as “it’s packed with a lot of good options,” according to PCW , while Backup Software Reviews declared in their review, “Genie has one of the most complete feature sets of any product on the market.”

GBM is also heads and shoulders above the rest for supporting “nearly every backup media format,” Info-Packets said; as GBM can backup “to just about every conceivable storage device,” according to Backup Software Reviews. “You have tremendous data storage versatility with Genie Backup, including the ability to pick a new location for any backup ,” Top Ten Reviews noted.

Genie-Soft’s focus on help, support and documentation took GBM’s user-experience to a different level, giving industry experts more delight as they tested the application.

“This program’s help and support is as solid as the product itself,” Backup Software Reviews declared, while Info-Packets admired what it described as a “top-notch help system.”

So you’ve finally decided it’s time for a change. No matter
what advice you follow that old work horse of a desktop
computer you have has outlived its usefulness with slow
loading applications and a continuous rise in operation
noise.

Searching for that Perfect Computer can be about as much fun
as purchasing a new car and about as frustrating also when
sorting through the various brands while trying to decide
which “bells and whistles” best fit your needs. Besides all
that trying to return something that is so large can be both
inconvenient and very difficult to do. So making the right
decision the FIRST time is the wise path of choice.

For starters you’ll need to decide what you want to do with
your computer. Are you into the video game scene or are you
someone who likes to just surf the internet and occasionally
do some book keeping with simple word processing software?

If you’re into video games you’re going to want a machine
that can handle the high level of graphics and superior
sound quality. On the other hand if you’re not into all
that high adrenalin stuff you can probably get by with a
less expensive system. Although, if you want to stay on the
safe side I would recommend going with something more
“high-end” so you don’t have to spend another large chunk of
change to upgrade the system you just bought.

There are two basic routes you can take when purchasing a
new computer.

1) Purchase a “Brand Name” Computer
2) Purchase a “Clone” Computer

A “BRAND-NAME” computer is one that is manufactured by a
company that is recognizable by name.

Some Advantages/Disadvantages of “Brand-Name” computers
include:

Advantages:

Customer Support- If you are experiencing problems with your
computer you will have the option to contact a
representative of the company that you purchased the PC from
to get help in solving your problem.

Customer support is probably the best reason to buy a
brand-name computer.

Warranty- Having a warranty is always nice since it acts as
a type of security blanket for you.

In case a part on your computer should fail you should be
able to get the item fixed at no charge just as long as the
warranty has not expired.

Read and understand a company’s warranty policy BEFORE you
purchase a computer from them.

This way you’ll have a good understanding of the procedures
to follow in case a problem should arise.

Pre-installed Software- Many companies will include software
packages that are all set up and ready to go for you on your
computer.

Although, a disadvantage of buying a brand-name computer
with software pre-installed is that you usually end up with
more than fits your needs and usually just results with the
wasting of space on your storage device.

Additional Support- Most brand-name computer companies are
also able to provide you with web sites that may provide you
with current software updates, user manuals, or basic
troubleshooting help.

Disadvantages

The use of Proprietary parts- the term Proprietary refers to
products that are unique to an individual company and that
company only.

So if a part was to malfunction on your computer after
warranty and you needed to replace it you could not just go
to your local computer store and purchase any old part even
if it was intended for the same function as the item that
failed.

You would be forced to buy the exact same item that came out
of the computer or else the computer would more than likely
cease to function correctly.

Having to buy proprietary parts usually involves the need to
place an order which means you’ll have to wait for the part
to arrive or you’ll have to send your computer into the
company or an authorized dealer of that company for
repairs.

People with a home based business would probably not be too
happy with that situation at all.

Integrated/On-board parts- In the computer world when you
hear the word integrated or on-board it means that a
particular part such as the modem or sound port where you
plug in your speakers, is built-in or part of the computer
main board (Also known as the Motherboard).

This means that if any of these items should fail, you can’t
just remove them from the computer and replace them with a
new part. They are usually soldered directly to the main
board and are stuck there.

Although, some computers do provide a way to disable a
malfunctioning device which will allow you to install your
own store bought device to take the place of the broken
part.

From a computer technicians point of view this is not always
easy to do.

It just depends on what brand of computer you currently
have. Meaning some are easier to work on than others.

A “CLONE” computer is a clone or a copy of its brand-name
counterpart with the exception that instead of company
specific or proprietary parts, the items used to make a
clone computer are from several different companies instead
of only one.

Let’s say that if you were to go to a local company that
builds “clone” computers, and you tell them what you need,
chances are they don’t use parts that are specific to only
that type of computer like the brand-name computer companies
do.

This is a good thing because it means that they will
probably use components that are interchangeable with many
different brands and are easy to come by if needed.

Some Advantages/Disadvantages of “Clone” computers include:

Advantages:

Cost- compared to brand-name computers the clone will
generally be easier on your pocket book when purchasing one
with similar features as its brand-name counterpart.

This is most likely due to the money that is saved by not
offering the high-end customer service. Although, that may
not be the only reason for the lower prices.

Easily Accessible Replacement Parts- Since the clone
computer was built with parts that are not any one company
specific, you can buy parts for the clone computer that can
be used even if the brand is different from the one that was
in the computer when you originally bought it.

NOTE: Before you buy any parts, it is necessary to make sure
that the replacement parts are compatible with your
particular computers system requirements.

Either consult the manual that should have came with your
computer or get help from a knowledgeable friend or repair
person.

Disadvantages:

Warranties- Unless you purchase a service plan you will
typically not have as an attractive warranty as you would
with a brand-name computer company.

Whatever you do just make sure you understand how long the
warranty is for and as to what kind of repairs the warranty
covers before you make the purchase.

Customer Support- With brand-name computer companies you are
usually provided with a 24-hour toll free number that you
can call if you have questions or concerns with your
computer.

Clone computers are more than likely not going to have a
24-hour help service, but rather you will be forced to only
be able to call during regular business hours.

Also, it is more than likely that there will not be any one
website that you can go to in order to find out information
concerning troubleshooting questions you may have.

For service it may be necessary to take the computer back to
the store that you bought it at or you may have to do some
research on the individual parts that went into the computer
and visit the manufacturer’s website for troubleshooting
tips.

Finally, if all else fails you can certainly take what you
have learned from this article and being that you know what
you need now, but don’t know where to go and get that
“Perfect Computer”, the best resource at your disposal are
the very men and woman that work at your local electronics
shop.

It is their duty to help you get hold of that “Perfect
Computer” that best fits your needs. All you need to do is
tell them what you plan on using that computer for and they
should be more than happy to help you from there.

A slight Catch 22 situation!!

Improving customer relationships and cost control were some of the main business drivers while ICT was identified as pivotal to risk management and achieving these drivers.

Bottom line is, ICT is a must have (and must be done right) in order for businesses to be competitive….

Don’t believe me….

Well, recently I spoke with an MD for a famous West Midlands based manufacturer and innovator who told me during an Enterprise Networking event that his business was no longer a manufacturer, it was a marketing company and the only way they could stay competitive is with their ICT investments.

Unbelievably, ICT was the second biggest spend (after patents) within their business and unsurprisingly they are doing very well indeed against their cheaper competition.

But how do businesses make the right investment when they are limited by the available finance or a gap exists between ICT and the business or they have limited resources and in-house expertise.

Well there is a solution…

Let’s address the financial element. Most businesses have already invested or continue to invest in a range of communication and information technologies and services. With advances in technology there are now new ways of providing the same or similar services at a much reduced cost.

New technology itself may bring about changes within the business that in turn brings about cost reductions.

And finally making smart use of finance makes any investment easier to budget and spreads the outlay, achieving a faster return typically.

If done correctly this can result in a system or complete solution at no additional cost to your business!!

What is the catch….

Well, you’ve got to find the right business partner. Somebody that can be trusted, that has the knowledge of the complete sphere of ICT and where its going, that can take a consultative business approach (underpinned by technology) and provide you with a strategy to ensure the success of the project and your business.

I like talking about new inventions and what to do to our lives.
Today I would like to focus on the iPod from Apple.

First there was the cassette Walkman, then the cd Walkman, mini disk and now the
iPod. The iPod is a music player just like the Walkman, but instead of cassettes it
uses a hard disk to store music in digital format.

Now the great improvement of the iPod over its predecessors is its storage capacity.
An iPod today can store enough music to play non-stop 24 hours a day during 6
weeks.

Now what’s does that mean? That basically means that you can have your entire
music collection on it. There is even storage for music addicts like myself (and I like
a LOT of genres like classical, jazz, heavy metal, drum & bass, breakbeat, flamenco,
Turkish & Arabic, Indian traditional music, etc, etc). That in turn basically means
that you can have your music collection on you where ever you go, at a party, in
your car, at work etc etc …

Now with the iPod Video models you basically your iPod acts as a portable video
player as well. This means that you can stick a few movies on your iPod before you
go on a trip, connect your iPod to the Hotel’s TV set using the AV cables and watch a
video with your lady.

The list of accessories is ever growing and there are some real useful gadgets
available nowadays. Personally I can now listen to my iPod at home on the stereo,
wireless (using iTrip). I have remote controls (both Airclick and apple remote), I
always have it in the car (using Roadtrip), I use it as a portable hard disk, I use it to
store my photographs when I am doing a shoot and have no laptop on me (using
Media Reader), I record new idea’s on the guitar so I don’t forget them (iTalk) and so
on!

I find it normal now that I can have this multifunction device on me wherever I go.
Two years ago I could not unload my big RAW photographs onto a small handheld
device that also stores my entire music collection and connects to my computer, TV,
home and car stereo.

What I am trying to say is that inventions like the iPod seem like nice gadgets but in
fact they are changing your lives! In a positive way imho.

I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
